T.C. Herbert's papers consist primarily of correspondence and materials dating from 1894 to 1933. Most of the correspondence is dated from the late 1910s and contains letters from Carlisle Herbert to his mother and vice versa while he was in the service, as well as many condolence letters to Carlisle's parents after his death. Other materials included are photographs, official notices of Carlisle's service and death, maps of Europe and France, and other memorabilia.
