Acquisition

Margaret Roberts Thomas, niece of Thomas Carlisle Herbert, and her daughter, Elizabeth (Betsy) Uhlman, donated the Thomas Carlisle Herbert Collection in 2002. Additional material was given in 2011.

Custodial History:

Anne Elizabeth Herbert (1897-2002), sister of Thomas Carlisle Herbert, collected and cared for the materials.

A portion of the collection was digitized and is included in the Digital Collections Center.

Access and Restrictions

Open to research without restrictions. Researchers are advised to contact Special Collections and Archives prior to visiting.
