Robert G. Brooks’ interest in Thomas Wolfe began while a student at Furman University, and he spent the next 50 years studying and writing about him. Brooks’ essays on Thomas Wolfe are undated. Brooks donated his collection of the Thomas Wolfe Newsletter and the Thomas Wolfe Review, both initially published by the University of Akron.
