Student assistants on campus are expected to work their regular hours when the library is open.

Inclement weather during the weekdays:

When the University is closed, the Library will be closed.

If evening classes are cancelled or it is announced that classes are cancelled for the following day, the library will close at 6:00 pm or as determined by the evening circulation supervisor.

When students are on campus, but classes are dismissed early (cancelled some time during the day), the Library is OPEN with abbreviated hours. The library will open at regular time and close at time of early dismissal.

If severe weather occurs on the weekend and road conditions are unsafe, then the library will not be open.

When the library is opening late or closing early, supervisors will attempt to contact student assistants to tell them if and when to report. Student assistants will also be advised to call the library voicemail menu (864-294-2190) in case of severe weather.  Library student assistants are expected to check the main library voicemail menu and to report to work unless they are otherwise notified.
