FUL Student Assistant Guide

This guide is intended to be a resource for student assistants of the James B Duke, Maxwell Music and Sanders Science libraries at Furman University.

Welcome Everyone!

Welcome to Club JBD! We are so glad you're here!

The Furman University Libraries welcome you as a returning or new member of our team.  We realize that most of you are overwhelmed in the first few days of the semester, but we really need you to take some time and acquaint yourself with the material in this guide.

Working as a Library Assistant requires a high level of personal responsibility, integrity, and trustworthiness and you are expected to maintain a high standard of behavior at all times.  Remember, the way you carry out your duties reflects on both you and the Furman libraries.

This guide is designed to answer some of your questions about your job and provide you with a quick reference.
