As student assistants at our public-facing desks, you have the most direct contact with the general community. We do not expect bad behavior in our "Furman Family" community, but always be aware that if you ever do feel harassed in any way, there are resources available to you, should you wish to use them.

You don't need to deal with any potentially concerning situation alone! You should always feel free to inform your supervisor or another staff member about any situation that troubles you. We are here to help! If there is a patron (in-person or over the phone) that is making you uncomfortable in any way, please let your supervisor know immediately.

If for any reason you do not wish to report an incident to us, there are a number of other resources available to you.
