Arrangement

The collection is organized by types of material and then chronologically.

Scope and Contents

This collection consists of minutes, reports, constitution and bylaws, correspondence and yearbooks documenting the activities of the Greenville chapter. Included in the yearbooks are a list of chapter officers, committees, and programs. The yearly files contain correspondence and reports. There are no yearly files for 1928-1929, 1943-1944, 1944-1945, 1946-1947 and 1948-1949. Reports include committee reports and report of delegates to the Woman’s Auxiliary to the South Carolina Medical Association annual meeting. There is a membership list for 1947. The Woman’s Auxiliary oversaw the American Medical Association’s monthly health magazine, Hygeia, and the chapters distributed copies to the public. A Hygeia Handbook is in the 1938-1939 yearly file. Committee reports indicate the Society’s scrapbooks were given to the Greenville City library.
