Sumner A. Ives Lantern Slides Collection, 1927-1933

Arrangement

Slides were found in a wooden box. The slides were removed from the wooden container and kept in the order they were found. They were placed in an acid-free box with each slide in an acid-free photographic sleeve.

Scope and Contents

The Sumner A. Ives Lantern Slides Collection consists of 61 glass lantern slides, dating from 1915-1933 and undated. Each slide measures 3 ½” x 4”. The majority are labeled, “Made by James Huntington, 610 St. John’s Place, Brooklyn, N.Y.” Images include the Furman downtown Greenville campus, the home of Waddy Thompson, Sr., and student field trips.
