Biographical Sketch

John E. Rouse, Jr. is the son of John E. Rouse '34 (1906-1981), past president of Anderson College from 1957 to 1972, and is professor emeritus in the Department of Political Science at Ball State University. He taught undergraduate and graduate courses in public administration, American government and politics, and organizational theory.  He holds a B.A. from Furman University 1964, and M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Maryland, College Park. Dr. Rouse has been an Op-ed contributor to The Chicago Tribune, and the Christian Science Monitor. Dr. Rouse was a candidate for the Muncie City Council in 1995. He has been a columnist for the Sunday Editorial page of The Muncie Star and served as the Producer-Commentator for a weekly Indiana public affairs radio-television program on WIPB.
