This collection contains a typed and a handwritten manuscript representing parts of what appears to be two different documents. The document that is titled, “Scion of the Flat Woods, Poor Lands: Courageous People,” is Richardson’s autobiography which he evidently intended to publish at some time, but never did. There is also a photocopy of this document. From references within the work, it seems that it was largely written between 1940-1945. The other document is an incomplete work of fiction.
