Scope and Contents

The James J. Collins, Jr. Papers consist of correspondence, article clippings, programs and a brochure, and cassette tapes.  The correspondence is primarily from friends, including writers Germaine Brée, Elizabeth Bowen and Eve Currie.  There is one letter from Collins to his sister Dot [Dorothy 1923-1972] that mentions Germaine Brée. The article clippings are mostly about writers, including Elizabeth Bowen, Rebecca West, and Germaine Brée. The cassette tapes are recordings of WHA radio programs “Books, Authors & Critics” and “Etcetera.” The brochure is a WHA Radio Program listing for May-June 1965.
