Welcome to Special Collections and University Archives!

We value college life and student voices and understand the critical importance of documenting student culture. And, as the official repository of historically significant records of Furman University, we have created The Paladin Legacy Project: Preserve Your Stories site to equip you with the tools to preserve and share the history of your organizations for current and future generations.

The site details the importance of preserving your materials, the kinds of materials that you can preserve, along with steps and tips on how to organize, archive, and preserve your legacy. Be part of the greater Furman’s story by making your student organization materials available to the campus community through our Archives. Your group may not have many records, but even if all you have is a website, some photos on social media, or a file folder of papers, we would love to steward it for you!  If you are an FU student or a member of staff who would like to transfer your organization’s records (physical or digital), you may contact Nashieli Marcano, Archivist for Digital Collections to schedule a consultation. We welcome your questions at nmarcano@furman.edu.

A special thanks to Elizabeth Scott ('26), Kathie Sloan, and Christy Allen for helping us create this site.
