Library Café Floor Plans

FAQ

Why do we need another café? We have Starbucks and Einsteins.
Einsteins will be closing. The library café, with its "heart of the campus" location, will be a convenient stop for students and faculty on their way to classes. Students studying in the library will not have to leave the building to get something substantive to eat and/or drink.

Will the area still be accessible 24/7?
Yes. The entire area will continue to be available 24/7. The café will have certain hours (we’re not sure what they will be yet) and during those hours, the “back room” will be a quieter area for study. When the café is closed, the entire area will still be accessible. There will be 4 computers and the multi-function printer. The vending machines and the Keurig coffee machine will remain so students have access to food and drink 24/7.

Will there be another 24/7 study area on campus?
Yes. The upper level of the Dining Hall (where Einstein’s is located), will be a 24/7 space, beginning in August. So, in addition to the café area and back room study area, there will be another, large space accessible 24/7.

What will happen to the group study rooms?
They will no longer be available. The café "back and front of the house" area requires that space.

Will students be able to use their Palapoints in the café?
Yes.
