The Andrew P. Montague Diary is a journal in which Montague tracked his daily activities from January 3 to April 5, 1899. Montague includes his daily schedule, his companions and the weather. Much of the activity centers around his life in Greenville, S.C. as University President and faculty member. He also talks about his and his family’s health.

Student, Eliza Kate Leiter, transcribed the diary in 2018. Montague’s family includes:

  • Son, Howard Christian Montague (1886-1938)
  • Mother, Mildred Columbia Broaddus Montague (1819-1900)
