Miles, Wever, and Todd Family Papers, circa 1784-2017

Administrative Information

Acquisition

Leonard Todd, Jr. donated his collection in 2017 and additional materials in 2019.

Custodial History

The majority of the collection of family papers were passed down to Leonard Todd, Jr., through his mother’s family, the Wevers. Todd thinks his great-great grandmother, Mary (Landrum) Miles, who would have saved the items relating to her husband Lewis Miles, may have started the collection. Then her daughter, America Miles, and son-in-law L.B. Wever added to them. Todd’s grandfather, Frank M. Wever continued to preserve them, as did later Todd’s grandmother, Rosalind Seckinger Wever, and his mother, Lena Miles Wever Todd.
