Organizational History

The Greenville Track Club was organized on April 13, 1972 to promote track and field in the Greenville area. The club’s focus is to create a running community in Greenville that would have ties to Furman’s track and cross country programs as well as offer opportunity for training and racing for the community at large and the high school programs as well. The club is a member of the Road Runners Club of America (RRCA) and a USA Track & Field sanctioned organization. It is a 501 (c) 3, non-profit, organization and is managed by a Board of Directors and an Executive Committee.
