The Allen P. Crawford Papers reflects his love of art and collecting, and his research on the artist Hudson Mindell Kitchell (1862-1944). The research on H.M. Kitchell culminated in an exhibition of his work April 3-24, 1981 in Anderson, South Carolina sponsored by the Anderson County Arts Council. The collection consists of artist files, subject files and an unpublished manuscript, Curiosity Shop of American Artists. There are also newspaper and magazine clippings about Crawford, his collection and the West View Gallery.
