| Access to the Libraries | Limited Access | The James B. Duke, Maxwell Music, and Sanders Science Libraries will be open ONLY to students, staff, and faculty with Palacard swipe access for the fall semester. Up to date hours can be accessed on our website. |

The stacks of James B. Duke and Sanders Science library are open and available to browse. We can scan some segments of books and periodicals for students, faculty, and staff working remotely. Please see Scan and Deliver. |
| Porch Pickup | No | Since the libraries are now reopened, we will not be doing porch pickup. Materials can be requested and picked up at the James B. Duke circulation desk. If you require accommodations due to quarantine, please contact the Circulation Desk during open hours, (864) 294-2265. |

You can also leave a voice message at (864) 294-2195. When the libraries are closed, research assistance will also not be available. Please see detailed hours information above. |

While our staff are back to work, we are beholden to the staffing at other institutions and the functionality of the USPS for interlibrary loan. It is best to expect possible delays. Submit requests through ILLiad. |

PASCAL requests can be made through the catalog. Due to COVID-19 safety measures, please allow 5-7 business days for delivery. Some items may be inaccessible. "Pick-up Anywhere" and "Visiting Patron" services will not be available for the Spring 2021 semester. |
| Book returns | Yes | Materials can be returned at all libraries but will be quarantined for a short period of time before they are checked in. |
| The Library Cafe | Limited |
For the fall semester, only students may make purchases at TLC. View library café menu. |
| Study Lounge | Limited |
Maximum Capacity: 14 people Opened seven days per week via card swipe, the Study Lounge is closed each morning 5AM-7AM for cleaning. Two desktop computers, a printer/scanner, and mobile dry erase boards are available in this space. Students are expected to adhere to published guidelines for cleaning, occupancy limits, and mask use. Safety features in this space include security video cameras and an emergency phone to contact University Police. |
