Maintained by the Federal Interagency Council on Statistical Policy, FEDSTAT provides access to statistical information produced by over 70 agencies of the Federal Government. The site allows you to browse by subject, or do a key word search. The site also displays some of the statistical tables from the Statistical Abstracts of the U.S.

This site provides web access to most of the data found in the 1990 census. It is searchable by keyword, or you can browse the subject listing. To find data on a state or county, click on "Access Tools" and then "Map Stats". Like most Government sites, this one can be slow to load.

Like the sociology virtual library mentioned above, SocioWeb attempts to be a guide to sociological information on the Internet. It organizes itself into broad categories such as "Sociology in Action", "Surveys and Statistics", and one called "Giants of Sociology" which provides links to sites about important individuals in the field of sociology.

U.S. Bureau of the Census collects data for most BJS statistical series and coordinates with other Department of Justice statistical programs, such as the FBI's Uniform Crime Reporting program, National Incident-Based Reporting System and
other Federal agencies, including the Executive Office for U.S. Attorneys, the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts, the U.S. Sentencing Commission, and the Federal Bureau of Prisons
