Some journals and books are only accessible through ScienceDirect.  While we have access to these materials, it's on an individual basis.

If you're a student and you need the full-text to a journal article or book chapter in ScienceDirect, just add the citation information to the Known Citation Finder and use the "Request Full Text from Get it Now" link to obtain a full color PDF. Be sure to use your Furman email address with the request. Delivery time is usually less than one hour.

If the item you need is not available from the libraries' subscriptions, then use our Interlibrary Loan service.  Just complete the online request form through your account.  You can always access the forms and create an account from the ILL link on the homepage.

You can also access Interlibrary Loan requests through the Full-Text link in library databases. When you see the option to "Request a copy" since click the link and login to your ILL account. The request form will auto-populate with information from the database. Submit the form at the bottom. Within a few days, a PDF of your article will be posted to your account. You will receive an email whe it arrives.

In addition to journal articles outside of our subscriptions, Interlibrary Loan can get you books, book chapters, dissertations, and more. If we don't have it, Interlibrary Loan can help you get it.
