Finding Scholarly Research
There are two main databases that will be good sources of scholarly (sometimes called peer-reviewed or refereed) journal articles.One is Academic Search Premier. The other is Worldwide Political Science Abstracts, the main database for research in political science.
Click the "Scholarly (peer-reviewed)" box to limit your results.
Academic Search Premier covers many scholarly disciplines, not just political science. It will return broader results.

- Academic Search Premier Academic Search Premier is an interdisciplinary database, covering a broad range of subjects. It contains indexing for 8,172 publications, with full text for nearly 4,700 of those titles.
- Worldwide Political Science Abstracts Provides searching of the international literature in political science and its complementary fields, including international relations, law, and public administration / policy.
