LGBTQ: Books

Resources including books, eBooks, articles, media and open access sources on lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people and issues.

LGBTQ Topics

LGBTQ materials are located in various places in the Furman University Libraries because of the multidisciplinary nature of the research. The Libraries use the Library of Congress Classification system for cataloging and shelving, which identifies books by primary subject matter. You will likely find most of our titles located in the HQ section, particularly in the HQ74 - HQ77.95 area library. However, there may be books relevant to your research outside the social sciences - Homosexuality and dance titles are shelved in GV, some of the titles on gay rights are in KF, and titles on homosexuality and genes are in QP (located in the Sanders Science Library in Plyler Hall.)
