COM 316: U.S. Public Address 1866-Present - O'Rourke: Home

Welcome to the guide for US Public Address, 1866 to Present

For this class, you are required to research and write a rhetorical criticism paper. You may choose any rhetorical text (speech, public letter, editorial, manifesto, etc.) crafted by a US citizen or by a citizen of another country delivered in the US between 1865 and the present.  For example, Teddy Roosevelt at the Sorbonne and Winston Churchill in Missouri would both be suitable for this assignment.

This guide provides resources and techniques for finding and researching your rhetorical text.
