Services provided by the Circulation Department include checkout of books and other materials, retrieval of items from closed collections, document delivery services including PASCAL and Interlibrary Loan, and assistance with printing. The Circulation Department has primary responsibility for student staffing of the James B. Duke, Maxwell Music, and Sanders Science Libraries.

The Furman University Libraries employ approximately 60 student assistants.
