AFS approves Friends of Lesbians and Gays student group constitution

1993

Article "Gay rights march on Washington includes two FU students" is published in The Paladin.

1997

Article "FLAG cut from Preview Day Fair" published in The Paladin.

2003

FLAG changed its name to the Queer Student Association.

2007

Queer Student Association changes its name to Encouraging Respect of Sexualities.

GLBT Issues Committee proposes transformation to a permanent standing committee to advise the Furman community on matters relevant to GLTB.

2008

David Mariner ('99), becomes the executive direction of the D.C. Center for the LGBT Community.

2010

Proposal presented to change the Women's and Gender Studies Concentration to Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies.
