Statement: Condemning Racism and Violence

The faculty and staff of the Furman University Libraries condemn racial violence toward black people and all people of color. We believe that Black Lives Matter. We recognize and are committed to addressing deep and systemic patterns of racism and oppression. We commit ourselves to acknowledging racism and to adopting intentional practices of enhancing diversity, equity, and inclusion, helping to build a community that upholds the inherent worth of all individuals.
