Program Description
The Furman Libraries offer Field Trip Programs for Grades 6 - 12.
Each Program is 90 minutes of content, with 30 minutes built in for transitions and bus drop-off and pick-up.
Students will learn about the many factors that influenced decisions made by the U.S. Government, the news media, organizations, and individuals as they responded to Nazism and genocide in Europe in the 1930s and 1940s.
Activities:
- Guided Tour of the Exhibition (45 minutes) Students will be led by a representative from Furman University through the exhibit.
- "Behind Every Name" Video and Discussion (45 minutes) Students will watch videos documenting first-hand accounts from the collections of the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum. They will then discuss what they learned.
