Guidelines

  • Only groups affiliated with Furman University will be approved to have displays. E.g. Furman clubs, organizations, institutes, or program of study.
  • The content of the display must respect the values of the Furman University Libraries.
  • Display requests must be submitted at least 2 weeks prior to the start of the display.
  • Requests are reviewed and approved on a first-come, first-serve basis. Display spots are limited, so the earlier you submit a request, the more likely you'll be approved
  • Staff in the Library will set up the display panels based on the configuration requested in the application form 1-3 days prior to the official start of the display.
  • If changes are needed to the set-up of the display panels, DO NOT reconfigure. Please email your library contact and request changes.
  • The Library is not responsible for creating or removing display content.
  • The requestor is responsible for setting up the display within the approved time frame
  • The requestor must supply their own materials as well as their own tacks, pins, or Velcro fasteners to affix materials to the carpeted panels. Tape does not work to attach materials to the panels.
  • The requestor is responsible for taking down the display no more than 3 days after the approved timeframe.
  • Failure to set-up and/or remove the display in a timely fashion will negatively impact the ability of the requestor to have future displays approved.
