Due to the construction involved with the installation of the Joseph Vaughn Memorial, the Duke Library porch and patio may not be reserved for events until after Joseph Vaughn Day on January 29, 2021.
The lower level of the front porch of the James B. Duke library is available to be scheduled for use by Furman University campus groups.
Although we love to work with our campus partners, there are some things to know:
Solicitation by non-Furman groups is not allowed.
All uses of the Library Front Porch must be in compliance with the policy Scheduling Events in the Furman University Libraries.
Groups and organizations are responsible for cleaning up after the event, including scheduling removal of tables and chairs and making sure trash and recycling are in the proper receptacles within 24 hours of the event.
If your group or organization would like to reserve the Library porch, you must complete the porch reservation request form, and someone will respond, via e-mail, within 48 hours.
Thank you for including the library in your campus outreach!
